Mellow Yellow Beach House was designed for slow mornings, salty air, and those moments where you forget what day it is. Sitting right on the beachfront in the heart of Hopkins Village, this relaxed Caribbean home opens itself up to the sea with wide views, warm breezes, and the sound of waves never too far away.

Step inside and you’re welcomed into a bright open-concept great room with soaring vaulted ceilings crafted from Belizean hardwoods. The kitchen sits at the center of it all, fully equipped with everything needed for easy meals at home, from the gas range and dishwasher to filtered drinking water, ice maker, and a long bar counter where everyone naturally gathers with coffee in the morning or drinks at night. Just beyond, the living space gives you room to spread out, whether you’re curled up with a book, watching a movie, or simply enjoying the sea breeze drifting through the house.

The home features two spacious master suites, each thoughtfully set up with handcrafted Belizean hardwood queen beds, soft lighting, generous storage, and private ensuite bathrooms with tiled rain showers and dual sinks. One of the suites also includes a washer and dryer with detergent provided for added convenience during longer stays. Ceiling fans throughout the home keep the air moving, while individual A/C units in both bedrooms and the great room are there for those especially warm tropical nights.

One of the best parts of staying here is how naturally the indoor and outdoor spaces flow together. The large beachfront deck stretches across the front of the home with hammocks, outdoor seating, and plenty of space to slow down and enjoy the view. Above it all, a rooftop deck offers sweeping 360° views of the Caribbean Sea, village, and distant mountains. Sunrise coffee up there feels different, and sunset tends to linger a little longer.

Down by the beach, you’ll find a shaded palapa, loungers, hammock hooks, and beach gear ready for laid-back afternoons by the water. Some guests spend their entire stay moving between the hammock, the sea, and the rooftop with no real agenda at all.

What makes Mellow Yellow special is also its location. You’re tucked right inside Hopkins Village, meaning grocery stores, local restaurants, beach bars, and everyday village life are all within walking distance. You can step out for fresh fry jacks in the morning, walk the beach at sunset, or grab dinner and live music nearby without ever needing to plan too much. For those wanting to explore farther along the coast, a 4-seater golf cart is available to rent on property.

This is not a polished resort experience pretending to be Belize. It feels lived in, relaxed, breezy, and connected to the village around it while still giving you the comfort people want when they come home from a day in the sun.

Short-Term Property Upgrade

Please note that we’ve recently added a new ground-floor unit to the property, so the lower level is no longer an open space. Most of the major work has already been completed, with only a few final interior and exterior touch-ups remaining. These are being handled carefully and thoughtfully to avoid disruption to guests.
